iPhone 3.1.3 Update out and about

Everyone start up your iTunes and get your iPhone and iPod touch update. the update is suppose to adress:
- Improved accuracy of reported battery level on iPhone 3GS

- Issue resolved where third-party apps just don’t launch

- Japanese Kana keyboard caused crashes in some instances, but these bugs have now been removed.

Just FYI don’t update if your jailbroken.

Facebook 3.1.2 update in App store

Head over to the App store and download the update to Facebook. For some reason mine didn’t pop up showing there was an update but search and it will come up. Hopefully it fixes all the problems people have been having.

3,000,000,000 App Store Downloads

Those are pretty impressive numbers, so I just wanted to say congrats. With over 100,00 apps available and growing its no surprise.

Facebook 3.1 available in App Store

Head to the app store and download the much anticipated Facebook update. The update finally brings push notification and contact syncing. Push notification works with all notifications but no support yet for Facebook chat. Contact syncing works well and it allows you address book get updated pictures of your friends and if they change them they change on your phone. Also if they change email addresses it will automatically update in your phone. This feature only works if your friends have their phone numbers on their page.

Did you just get a dropped call? Let ATT know

ATT has an application called ATT Mark the Spot, and is avaialble free to download in the App store. This application is made to allow users to give ATT feedback about bad reception. The user is able to submit a report of dropped call,failed call, lack of coverage, data service failure, or poor voice quality. ATT then sends and SMS, (hopefully free), to let you know that they received the report. Hopefully ATT uses this information to help get their coverage better but we will have to wait and see.

4th Generation iPhone out in the wild

 

We can add this to the list of more Apple rumors but apparently there is testing going on in San Francisco that are being linked to a 4th gen. iPhone. The phone number that has been seen is 3,1. Just to recap the original iPhone was classified by Apple as 1,1, and the similar iPhone 3G was classified as 1,2. The 2009 iPhone 3GS, was classified as 2,1, the first major changes happened. If the next iPhone is showing 3,1. Let the speculation begin.

Orange sells 30,000 iPhones

Orange who is the newest carrier in the UK to begin selling the iPhone has reported sales of 30,000 iPhones in the first day. The iPhone has been in sale on O2 network for 2 years, it is over whelming to see that after 2 years of the phone being out people are stilling jumping at the change to get one. Apple said last month that they were just now catching up with the demand for the 3GS and I guess its apparent that the demand is still there. Is this a hint as what is to come in the future of the iPhone in the US?

On another note the Moto Droid is reported as selling 100,000 in its launch weekend.

Universal Studios going iPhone with this seasons Blu Ray releases

Universal Studios is set to release a whole bunch of new blu ray movies that include the Pocket Blu app. Universal has announced the release of Bruno, Funny People, 9, American Pie Presents: The Book of Love, Public Enemies, and Inglourious Bastards, as blu ray versions that will ship by Christmas. The pocket BLU app, offers iPhone and iPod users touch further enhancements to the Blu-ray experience, and social BLU, which offers Blu-ray users more ways to interact with Facebook and Twitter through an Internet-connected Blu-ray player. We will more than likely see other movie studios jumping on the bandwagon if this turns out to be a huge success.

Apple Release 10.6.2

Apple early released there second update to 10.6. It is available thru software update and is recommended for anybody using snow leopard. The update fixes many bugs. It is also said to improve MobileMe syncing for iPhone and improve iDisk with the iPhone.
